|Recommended: NoDO NOT LIVE HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE — From the day we moved in, things were broken and dirty. We've submitted dozens of requests to get it fixed, but it very slow response time, and rarely fixes the problem, sometimes it is never even mentioned. We had a flood in our bathroom, where water was coming up through the floor, and it took 6 weeks of us going to talk in person, and submitting more requests online, we were told it was just from us dripping water after a shower. After many weeks of soggy socks, we insisted that someone with a plumbers license should check it out, and our TOILET WAS LEAKING Nasty pee and poop water all over the floor FOR 6 WEEKS. There is also no heat control, and we are sweating 24 7 in our apartment, and were told that that is just as it is. We are missing a whole shelf in our fridge, and the shelfs on the door are held on by duck tape. I've been through 2 beds that were broken, and sinking in the middle. Oh I forgot to mention that we don't really have hot water either. If there is hot water, you can't control it, and it will burn you. That is rare to even have a warm shower. I lived here bc I couldn't find any other contract, but even then, don't do it
|Recommended: NoPretty ok at best. — All I can really say is that the place is ok. I was told there would be Ethernet, which I cannot find at all in my room. I also was not able to get a parking pass, so my only option for parking is an over 7 minute walk away, which makes buying food or other larger items much more difficult and frustrating. They also don't have adequate desk space for my main PC, and I am stuck with using my laptop for everything, which doesn't work out well will my major in college due to the larger computing requirements for what I need to do. The rooms are also laid out in such a way that as soon as the doors are closed to the bedrooms, the AC no longer is effective due to it being in the front of the apartment and making sleeping an uncomfortably warm ordeal, at least in warmer weather.
|Recommended: NoYou don't get what you pay for — I'm very disappointed in Alpine Flats. They advertise rent as 425 a month, but then they add on utilities, parking, insurance, and if you live on the top floor, you pay extra too. They didn't tell us this or give us the option to live on a lower floor, they just assigned us an apartment and made us pay a premium fee we never agreed to. With how expensive the total ended up being, I hoped I could at least expect a nice place to live, but the quality is very poor. Upon arrival, our apartment was filthy and there were numerous broken things that needed fixing. Everything is very old, and I wouldn't mind living in a place like this at all if the pricing actually made sense for the quality. But it is more expensive than many nicer places, and I would not recommend living here.
|Recommended: NoReview — I originally was signed up to live in the round house and I was called and informed that I was to be switched and I was fine with that but I was promised a free parking pass. I have had to ask several times about how to get my monthly payment changed so that the parking pass could be free like promised and you guys have done nothing but evade the question and ignore me. Also the first month rent installment was for a week Uncool.
|Recommended: NoUnhappy customer — Run down, poor maintenance, terrible wifi.
|Recommended: YesPros and cons of alpine flats — Honestly the overall place is ok. The rooms are nice and the kitchen is too. It comes with a dishwasher, microwave, electric stove and oven, a fridge, and an overall average amount of cabinets for a kitchen with one of them actually being a 2 leven lazy susan type of thing for storing pots and pans and stuff. My only complaints are really the lacking of parking space and then not issuing overflow parking passes before booting cars and also the state in which our apartment was in when I first moved in. The place was an absolute mess. I don’t think anyone had swept under the couch in years and so many other things. Now I understand that this is student living so it’s not going to be super nice and clean and pretty but I’d expect a bit more from an apartment. There was also some random bracelets and wristbands hiding in the couch cushions from 2021 so I don’t even want to know what else is in there.
|Recommended: YesLiving at alpine flats — great place to live and so close to campus everyone walks to school and we love it the staff are so nice and so helpful as well
a few problems we’ve come across
the apartment wasn’t super clean when we moved in. after lots of deep cleaning and moving around every surface to find hidden trash, we fixed it up and love it now
parking can be hard. a limited number of parking passes were sold, but cars with out the pass continue to park here which leaves us without parking.
biggest issue of all after our first rent payment, my roommates and i discovered we were being charged an extra 25 for a “high floor premium.” we’d never heard about this before but were told the extra charge was because our apartment had an AC unit. the AC unit is only in one of the bedrooms. it blows well but isn’t the best at cooking down the rooms that it isn’t in. very inconvenient that we are all paying an extra 25 a month, even when we weren’t informed about it, AND that we have to pay for it all year- even when we won’t be using the AC for the majority of the year.
|Recommended: YesWould live here. That's it. — N A
|Recommended: YesPretty good — Overall, it’s pretty good.
|Recommended: YesGreat time — I haven't been here for very long, but I'm have a great time.
|Recommended: YesOverall I had a good experience here Whenever we had a maintenance request, they would often address it the very next day. Management was very friendly and understanding. Good location, with a shuttle stop very close.
|Recommended: NoLiving here was by far the worst experience of my life. The fee for parking was unjustifiably high, the quality of room was laughable at best, and the management was unreliable and unprofessional. Moving into the apartment took several hours of cleaning before the apartment was even close to livable. Living here was a mistake, I would advise everyone to not even consider this complex as an option.
|Recommended: YesNot bad — Definitely some things that need to be fixed and updated but the staff is great and they are working hard to make it better
|Recommended: YesNot to shabby, in a very good location — Good first apartment
response from property -Thanks Rachel!
|Recommended: YesYou get what you pay for. — Alpine Flats is one of the cheapest places to live that is close to campus. It is definitely older, and isn't the prettiest. But is has great location, friendly staff, and the price almost can't be beat. Overall, I have been very happy with my stay. The clubhouse and other amenities are a bonus as well.
